Disney's A Christmas Carol

Like a mad aunt who sends birthday cards at Easter, we’re a bit late with this festive game, but hey, it’s the thought that counts, right? Disney’s A Christmas Carol (we always thought it was Dickens’, but what do we know?) accompanies the film, and, as the classic story doesn’t lend itself to platforming, it’s a mish-mash of minigames and point ’n’ click puzzles. F-22 Raptor

The psychology of shmups is immensely difficult to figure out. Exactly what makes one scrolling shooter better than another isn't always immediately obvious. It's not speed that's the key, and neither is it clever weapons or specific types of ships. Most likely it's a fresh and intelligent combination of these factors, and some have it, while others do a nosedive into the scrolling floor.

Nikon D300 Digital SLR Camera

Archos Gmini XS 100 Review

Watch your back, iPod Mini -- the Gmini XS 100 is nipping at your heels. Archos's new svelte, eye-catching music player is like a smaller, lighter version of Apple's colourful and popular portable. While the 3GB Gmini XS 100 (£130) doesn't come packed with extras such as an FM tuner and line-in or voice recording, it boasts an intuitive interface, great music-management features, compatibility with subscription-based music and excellent soun... 2010 Literbike Shootout: Aprilia RSV4 Factory vs. Ducati 1198S vs. KTM RC8R

Another year, a bigger battle.

With BMW ’s S1000RR and KTM ’s updated and new-to-the-U.S. RC8R as an all-new model, the field of liter-ish superbikes expands considerably for 2010.

Apologies to MV Agusta for not counting the 2010 F4, but no one’s yet signed up to race it in a large-scale series – the KTM was the runner-up in the 2009 IDM (International German Superbike Championship). We sure wouldn’t mind a spin on the MV, though. (Hint, hint, MV Agusta....
